Saving Our Land, Water & Wildlife

Since Florida has a variety of unique habitats, it is home to many different animal populations. These animals depend on one another and their environments for survival and reproduction. The conservation efforts in Florida can be seen as an effort to maintain biodiversity and keep these animals healthy and alive for future generations to enjoy them as well.

Florida is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world, and it is home to many endangered species. But human development has led to habitat loss and fragmentation. Invasive species like Burmese pythons, green iguanas, and giant African land snails have also disrupted Florida’s ecosystem. Save Natural Florida is actively working on conservation restoration to help save these species from extinction. Save Natural Florida is also working hard in restoring habitats by removing invasive species and replanting native plants that provide food and shelter for native wildlife.

One way that restoration projects can help with this issue is by using plants that have been specifically bred for their ability to fight off invasives, such as the Kudzu Vine. Another way would be by planting native plants in the area, which will help provide food for both invasive and endangered species alike.
